Our daughter, Chloë, received a Boost Box from the Fight Like Mason Foundation, and it truly made a difference for her. Though we never met Mason, we think of him daily when she wears her FLM items — including the water bottle that has the correct spelling of her name, umlaut included.

Chloë loves spending time with the little ones on the ward — on the floor, in the Medical Day Unit, or at the Children’s Treatment Centre — and is inspired by their courage, especially those far from home for weeks at a time. Before her own diagnosis, she dreamed of becoming an early childhood educator; now she hopes to work with children like hers, including those with amputations or complex medical needs, bringing compassion and understanding from her own experience.

With Christmas being such a magical season for kids, our first charity spotlight is all about Mason — his bravery, his legacy, and the incredible work being done in his name.
