Visit pageMood: Fragile. Grateful. Riding the waves as they come.
Medical Update: Chloë completed her first full chemo cycle and returned home for recovery. We started to see the rhythm of treatment—bloodwork, hydration, rest, and monitoring. Her appetite dipped, and fatigue lingered, but she was managing. We learned how to track side effects and when to call the team. It’s a steep learning curve, but we’re finding our footing.
Emotional Check-In: The emotional weight of everything began to settle in. Chloë was quieter this week, more reflective. She asked questions about what’s next, and we tried to answer honestly while protecting her peace. Charlotte was feeling the shift too—missing her sister, sensing the tension, and needing extra reassurance. We’re doing our best to meet both girls where they are.
Education Update: [No formal update this week.]
Moments of Light: Chloë managed to walk to the mailbox with her air cast—slowly, but proudly. That small moment felt like a victory. We also had a quiet movie night at home, just the four of us, curled up with blankets and popcorn. It wasn’t the cottage, but it was ours. The child life team checked in again, and their steady presence continues to be a gift.
Reflections: This week reminded us that progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s a quiet walk, a shared laugh, or a moment of stillness. We’re learning to celebrate the small wins and hold space for the big feelings.
💛 Much love,
Chloë’s Mom
